These Terms of Service apply to all users of the site, including without limitation users who are browsers, vendors, customers, merchants, and/ or contributors of content.

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before accessing or using our website. By accessing or using any part of the site, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to all the terms and conditions of this agreement, then you may not access the website or use any Services. If these Terms of Service are considered an offer, acceptance is expressly limited to these Terms of Service.

Any new features or tools which are added to the current store shall also be subject to the Terms of Service. You can review the most current version of the Terms of Service at any time on this page. We reserve the right to update, change or replace any part of these Terms of Service by posting updates and/or changes to our website. It is your responsibility to check this page periodically for changes. Your continued use of or access to the website following the posting of any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.

Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and Services to you.

These Terms do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or any other applicable legislation.

2. The Nature Of Our Products (Read Carefully)

All items sold through our website are pre-owned, vintage, and secondhand goods. This section is important and forms a material part of our agreement with you.

2.1 Condition and Age

Pre-owned, vintage, items may show signs of wear, including fading, pilling, shrinkage, minor marks, or other characteristics consistent with age and prior use. These features are inherent to second-hand goods and do not, in themselves, constitute defects. Condition details are provided in good faith based on reasonable visual inspection. We recommend reviewing all images carefully and contacting us with any questions prior to purchase.

2.2 Materials & Composition

We specialise in sourcing pre-owned and vintage garments. As such, we did not manufacture the items we sell and cannot verify or guarantee the exact materials, fibres, dyes, coatings, or treatments used in their production.

Some pieces may have been made using materials or processes that were standard at the time, but may not align with current UK or international regulations.

By purchasing from us, you acknowledge that:

(A) We are unable to independently verify the precise composition or manufacturing details of any item;

(B) We do not represent that items meet current product safety, textile labelling, or regulatory standards;

(C) Vintage garments may contain materials or treatments that are now restricted or no longer used, which we have no reasonable means of identifying;

(D) You are purchasing based on the item’s description and visible condition, and accept the inherent uncertainty that comes with vintage and pre-owned clothing.

2.3 Sizing & Fit

Vintage sizing rarely aligns with modern standards. Label sizes are provided as a reference only.

Where possible, we provide measurements to help guide fit, though slight variation may occur depending on how a garment sits or stretches.

We recommend comparing measurements carefully before purchasing, as we cannot guarantee fit based on label sizing alone.

2.4 Allergies & Sensitivities

If you have known allergies or sensitivities to certain materials, dyes, or treatments, we recommend taking this into consideration before purchasing.

As with all vintage clothing, we suggest laundering items before first wear.

We cannot accept responsibility for any allergic reactions or sensitivities resulting from items purchased.

3. Pricing Modifications and Availability

All prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP). We are not currently VAT registered, so VAT is not charged at this time. Should this change, prices will be updated accordingly.

Prices may change without notice. In the event of a pricing error, we reserve the right to correct it prior to dispatch. If this occurs, we will contact you to confirm whether you wish to proceed at the revised price.

4. Orders and Payment

By placing an order, you confirm that all information provided is accurate and complete. We reserve the right to cancel or refuse any order at our sole discretion. Payment is processed securely at checkout via our payment processor. A contract between you and us is formed only upon our confirmation of dispatch, not at the point of order placement.

5. Shipping

We aim to dispatch all orders within 1–2 business days of cleared payment. During busier periods or holidays, dispatch may take up to 5 business days.

All UK orders are shipped via Royal Mail. Delivery timeframes are estimates and are not guaranteed. Full details can be found in our Shipping Policy. Tracking numbers are provided for all orders and can be found in your order conformation email.

Risk in the goods passes to you upon delivery.

6. Returns and Refunds

Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and Consumer Contracts Regulations 2014 are not affected by these Terms. Full details on how to exercise these rights can be found in our Refund Policy.

As we specialise in vintage and pre-owned clothing, general signs of wear or condition characteristics that are clearly shown or described at the point of sale are not considered grounds for return under our policy. This does not affect your statutory rights.

7. Limitation Of Liability

7.1

Nothing in these Terms shall limit or exclude our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other matter which it would be unlawful to limit or exclude.

7.2

Subject to clause 7.1, and to the fullest extent permissible under applicable law:

(a) We shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from characteristics inherent to the pre-owned and vintage nature of goods, including deterioration, wear, the presence of unknown materials, or non-compliance with current regulatory standards of which we had no knowledge and no reasonable means of discovering;

(b) We shall not be liable for any loss, injury, damage, or adverse consequence arising from materials, substances, dyes, treatments, or manufacturing processes used in any item, where such matters were not within our knowledge and could not reasonably have been ascertained by us through ordinary inspection;

(c) We shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or special loss, including loss of profit, loss of enjoyment, or loss of opportunity;

(d) Our total aggregate liability to you in connection with any order shall not exceed the price paid by you for the item(s) in question.

7.3

You acknowledge that in setting prices and selling pre-owned vintage goods, we have relied on the limitations set out in this clause. These limitations are reasonable given the nature of the goods, the impossibility of full verification of pre-owned items, and the commercial context of a vintage resale operation.

8. Intellectual Property

12. Third-Party Links and Services

This website may contain links to third-party websites, tools, or services that are not operated or controlled by us.

We are not responsible for the content, availability, or practices of any third-party sites. Your use of such services is at your own risk, and you should review their terms and policies before engaging with them.

13. User Content and Submissions

If you submit or send us any content, including reviews, feedback, messages, or other materials, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, reproduce, modify, and publish that content for business and marketing purposes.

We are under no obligation to keep such content confidential, to respond to it, or to provide compensation.

You confirm that any content you submit does not infringe the rights of any third party.

14. Errors, Inaccuracies and Omissions

We aim to ensure that all information on our website is accurate. However, there may occasionally be typographical errors, inaccuracies, or omissions relating to product descriptions, pricing, availability, or other details.

We reserve the right to correct any such errors and to update or change information at any time, including after an order has been placed.

15. Suspension and Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to our Services at any time, without notice, where we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms or misused the website.

Termination will not affect any rights or obligations accrued prior to that point.

16. Suspension and Termination

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed severed and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions.

We recommend that all items are washed or dry cleaned prior to wear.

Please read it alongside our Terms of Service, which explain the nature of the pre-owned and vintage goods we sell. We currently deliver within the United Kingdom only.

Returns Are Free

You have 14 days to cancel your order and return it, for any reason. The 14 days start the day after your order arrives.

To start a return, email communications@generationmulligan.co.uk or use our contact page, quoting your order number. You don’t need to give a reason. We’ll email you a free prepaid return label and instructions. Please get in touch before sending anything back, so we can send your label and match your parcel to your order.

Once you’ve told us you’re returning an item, please post it back within 14 days.

Your Refund

We refund the full price of the item. If you return your whole order, we also refund the standard shipping you paid. If you chose a faster delivery option, we refund the cost of standard shipping only.

We’ll refund you within 14 days of receiving your return, to your original payment method. Your bank may take a few more days to show it. If your refund hasn’t arrived within 14 days of us receiving your return, email communications@generationmulligan.co.uk.

Condition of Returned Items

Please return items as you received them: unwashed, unaltered and with the Generation Mulligan tag attached. You’re welcome to try an item on, as you would in a shop. If an item comes back washed, worn, altered or damaged, we may reduce your refund to reflect the loss in value.

Damaged or Incorrect Items

If your order arrives damaged, or we’ve sent the wrong item, email generationmulligan@gmail.com as soon as possible with your order number, a description of the problem, and photos of the item and its packaging. We’ll refund you in full, including any shipping you paid, and you won’t pay anything to send it back.

General vintage wear, such as fading, pilling, minor pulls, shrinkage or age-related marks, is not damage where it was shown in our photos or described before you bought the item. You can still return any item within 14 days, as set out above.

What We Can’t Take Back

Gift cards can’t be returned.

What You’re Buying

Every item we sell is pre-owned vintage. Full detail is in our Terms of Service. In summary:

Vintage items show signs of wear, fading, pilling, minor marks or other characteristics consistent with their age and previous use. These are part of buying vintage and are not defects.

We didn’t make any item we sell, and we can’t independently verify its exact materials, dyes or treatments.

Vintage sizing doesn’t reliably match modern sizing. Label sizes are a guide only, so please check the measurements in each listing.

Allergies and Sensitivities

If you have known allergies or skin sensitivities, please check an item is suitable before buying. We recommend washing every item before you first wear it, once you’re sure you’re keeping it, as washed items may have their refund reduced.
